My photography work has made me lucky enough to be able to be creative, make my art, and hopefully help others along the way. Today I shared my studio with a few women suffering from cancer. We talked. We laughed. We shared hope. Cancer is a serious matter, but these ladies came in to be photographed with great spirit, and a gorgeous attitude.
My goal is to share their light. To show everyone out there that even through the most difficult of times, these women are strong, bright, and beautiful. Portraits of Hope is something so dear to my heart, because it's more than photography. It's a reminder that life is beautiful, and we should capture every second of it.
Yesterday I had the fortune to meet and photograph these fabulous and courageous women who are undergoing cancer treatment. Together with the Renaissance Cancer Foundation we continue to work in the "Portraits of Hope" series that will be displayed soon at : Irene Kaplan Portrait Studio, 5320 N McColl Rd.
I thank these amazing women that participated bringing their stories and experiences, inspiring us all to fight and love life.
